Raheem Sterling was named the Premier League Player of the Month for November after scoring three goals and tallying three assists in three league matches.

Sterling previously won the award back in August 2016. He beat out teammates David Silva and Leroy Sane, as well as Felipe Anderson, Lucas Digne, and Moussa Sissoko for the award. 

Sterling has sparked a wide discussion after hitting out against alleged racist remarks on Instagram following City's match at Chelsea.

Atlanta United's Josef Martinez was named the 2018 Landon Donovan MLS MVP. Martinez set a new record for most regular season goals with 31, breaking the previous mark of 27 goals.

Martinez received an average for 47.93% of the voting, beating teammate Miguel Almiron. 

Atlanta United play the Portland Timbers in the MLS Cup final. 

14 out of the top 30 vote getters for the Ballon d'Or ply their trade in La Liga, including winner Luka Modric and third place finisher Antoine Griezmann.

The rest of the list includes Lionel Messi, Raphael Varane, Luis Suarez, Thibaut Courtois, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Jan Oblak, Diego Godin, and Isco.

Lionel Messi finished behind Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, and Kylian Mbappe in this year's Ballon d'Or voting. 

It was the first time since 2007 that Messi was voted outside of the top three for the award. He's won the Ballon d'Or five times in his career. 

Messi is credited with 45 goals and 23 assists in 50 matches in 2018.  

Luka Modric has won the 2018 Ballon d'Or.

Modric becomes the first winner of the award beyond Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi since 2007.

Modric helped Real Madrid win the 2018 Champions League and also led Croatia to the World Cup Final.
